Well hello....my name is Aimee and I am very happy to begin blogging. I was told to do this as it would improve my skills for Journalism, however, I am finding it interesting regardless.
Christmas is fast approaching, however I am yet to get into the Christmas spirit. Not only does every newspaper I read bang on about the credit crunch (yes I know it is highly important to know the state of the economy, but really, can we not be a tad festive?), but I am stuck in my student accommodation untill the 21st of December due to a lack of transportation. Every other house apart from mine has put up Christmas decorations, a tree, some baubles, yet my kitchen looks as bleak as ever. I am living with a family of grinches. Luckily for me, some of my other friends made a Christmas dinner and I was lucky enough to get an invite. So thankyou very much lads and ladies of House 55, West Downs Student Village, you made my week! The student shop is officially out of stock, I feel for the students who are staying here over Christmas, they will have to make the long journey to Tesco! But there are some pluses to staying here...Drink the bar dry!!!! An excuse for me to get utterly inibriated for little money! Wahey! Oh yes, I knew there was a reason to me blogging at 6am. I am so shocked at the closure of every single Woolworths store in England. We will be bidding goodbye to a fond friend, who has supplied us with under priced products for years, but especially, the most amazing 'pic n mix' collection on the highstreet. I know my sister will be grieving for some time. Unless I blog soon...Merry Christmas to all...may the new year bring many new possibilities for you! Aimee x
